Information Services Technician

The Information Services Technician (IS Technician) is a focused individual with the technical skills to address, investigate, and solve a multitude of computer-related issues. The IS Technician is accountable for assisting in maintaining the Company’s Desktop and Server systems. Duties include, but are not limited to, operating and maintaining systems for patching and installing workstation applications and operating systems, and maintaining and provisioning servers. This individual is the first response technical support for users and participates in the monitoring and reporting of compliance with company computing policies.

This candidate must have troubleshooting skills, the demonstrated ability to handle a variety of assignments simultaneously, and the flexibility to work independently or within a team structure. The successful candidate is a self-starter, has a natural curiosity to understand hardware and software technology, hands on experience, and possesses a can-do attitude. The ideal candidate should have the following work experience and credentials:

Knowledge of computer hardware and software including operating systems.

Working knowledge of various applications.

Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted class “C” driver’s license, with a driving record that provides insurability under the Company’s vehicle insurance carrier and within the guidelines of the Company.

2 year college or vocational degree in Information Services/Data Processing/related field or equivalent in technical experience.

2 years diverse experience in IT including workstation installation and maintenance.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Compensation is commensurate with experience. Ponderosa offers competitive compensation and benefits. EOE

GIS Applications Specialist

DEVELOP WEB-BASED GRAPHICAL DATA INTELLIGENCE TO ACCELERATE WORKFORCE PRODUCTIVITY AND CUSTOMER REVENUE

The GIS Application Specialist is a highly-motivated and enthusiastic individual demonstrating a sharp mind and aptitude for database integration and programming with an emphasis in HTML development. The GIS Applications Specialist is responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of all custom web-based GIS applications as well as the implementation and support for all GIS custom interfaces with third party applications and enterprise data systems. This is an exciting telecommunications career opportunity for someone who thrives on solving problems in a diverse technical environment and challenging their skills in web-based data intelligence delivery through visual graphics. The GIS Applications Specialist must possess effective written and verbal communication skills, be a team player and be genuinely nice.

The ideal candidate should have the following work experience and credentials:

WEB DEVELOPMENT

2 years of experience with web design or development is required
HTML Developer Certification is a plus
Experience with graphic design is a preferable

DATABASE PROGRAMMING

2 years of experience with querying and programing within an RDMS is required
Experience with database integration is required
MCSE Certification for Business Intelligence or Data Platforms is a plus

AUTOCAD/GIS EXPERIENCE

Proficiency with GIS/spatial/mapping concepts and technologies is a plus
AutoCAD drafting experience is a plus
